History of Plural Civil Society of the Countries of Comesa

Development requires the participation of all (Government, Civil Society, National and International Organizations) and this synergy is essential to achieve the objectives set. The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa is made up of 21 African states and has a population of 583 million which constitutes Africa's largest trade and investment market. On January 10, 2018, an Association governed by the law of July 1, 1901, called "Plural Civil Society of the Countries of Comesa Plus", its acronym SCCP / COMESA PLUS, was set up between the Founding members. The head office is located in Djibouti, Balbala PK12.

The Civil Society Organizations that founded this Platform called "Plural Civil Society of the Countries of Comesa Plus" come from the two countries namely the Republic of Djibouti for the National Network for Social Development "RNDS" and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for the Association for Training and Supervision of Youth for Development (AFEJD).
The Plural Civil Society of COMESA PLUS Countries is a regional platform for exchanges between Civil Society Organizations and with private sector actors and African economic operators.
